In accepting his call to ministry, Lindsay explained, “My call to ministry is a continuous call to God’s seeking to save me. It’s not just the burden of seeking to lead others to Christ, but that I too may be saved in God’s Kingdom.  It is indeed humbling to know God chose me for such a great task. I am indeed passionate in seeking to reflect the grace that He has flooded my soul with. I seek to love God supremely and love His people dearly.”

The other ministers who were ordained are: Carl Brown who currently serves as pastor of the Guys Hill/Gayle District of Churches and was fortunate to have celebrated his birthday on the same day of his ordination; Danielo Daniels, who pastors the Islington District of Churches; Dwayne Marson, pastor of the Windsor District of Churches; and Uwayne Orr, also a birthday celebrant on his day of ordination, and who serves as pastor of the Manchioneal/Zion Hill District of Churches.

Pastor Everett Brown, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica charges the Ordinands to focus on God and the study of His Words during the Service of Ordination at the Port Maria Adventist Church on Saturday, July 14, 2018.

In his charge to the Ordinands, Pastor Everett Brown, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jamaica, charged them to hold on to God, remain connected to him through the study of the Word and prayer.

“I also challenge and charge you Pastors to be faithful to your spouse, faithful to your children and family. Ministry today is a complex, demanding and stressful vocation; if you are not careful you could become a successful soul winner and a failure as a husband and father. Take care of the spiritual needs of your family first before you take care of the needs of the Church,” Brown added.
