JAMU Appoints New Directors

Pastors Wenford Henry and Joseph Smith were appointed Stewardship & Trust Services and Ministerial Secretary, respectively, during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Jamaica Union Conference (JAMU) on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Union’s Headquarters in Mandeville.

The recommendations were made by a voted Nominating Committee comprising members of the Union’s Executive Committee. It was then ratified by the Union Executive Committee.

The positions were previously held by Pastor Astor Bowers who accepted a call to serve as Executive Secretary of the North Jamaica Conference of Seventh-day Adventists at its Third Quadrennial Session held February 21-22, 2018.

Pastor Henry currently serves JAMU as the Country Director for ADRA Jamaica, while Pastor Smith serves as Assistant to the President for Evangelism, Training and Development and also the Union’s Coordinator for the Adventist Laypersons Services and Industries (ASi).

The Union Committee also appointed Pastor Dudley Hosin as Men’s Ministries and Medical Missions Coordinator for JAMU.

All the above-mentioned positions are with immediate effect.

    Are they scrapping the ADRA position or Wenford will carry it additionally? Whatever the position they are equipped for the tasks.
